Responsibilities
Perform repairs in all categories: heating/cooling, electrical, brakes, steering, suspension, etc.
Repair and replace components such as thermostats, wheel bearings, water pumps, etc.
Troubleshoot guest concerns, collaborating with other techs as needed to diagnose accurately.
Ensure all repairs meet quality standards and adhere to manufacturer specifications.
Complete detailed preventative maintenance reports using visual inspections.
Maintain communication with the service department to keep customers informed.
Support housekeeping duties as needed.
Uphold high standards for safety, cleanliness, and organization.
Adhere to federal, state, and local regulations governing service operations, including protocols for hazardous waste disposal and OSHA standards.
Qualifications
5+ years prior experience working as a mechanic/technician in an automotive shop
General maintenance and repair & replace experience required
Valid driver's license & clean driving record
Have necessary set of tools to perform repairs & maintenance
Excellent problem solving and diagnostic skills
Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast paced environment to meet or exceed hourly goals
ASE Certifications preferred but not required
Physical Requirements
Occasionally lift and/or move over 50 pounds
Be able to work with tools on vehicles lifted above their head
Work in tight spaces as dictated by the vehicle's needed repair
Have the needed dexterity in order to efficiently use hand-tools
Walk/stand for the majority of the workday
Drive manual transmission vehicles
Keeping a brisk work pace in a high-volume environment
Efficiently navigate a computer
