Fence Company in Carson City Looking for an Estimator
Looking for a dependable, self starter, whom has experience with ALL types of fence. Someone who is proficient with fence or construction estimating and leadership skills. Must be proficient with a computer and applications including Word, Excel, Outlook, editing and creating PDF’s, etc. Company also has computer systems and processes in place for estimating and project management. Looking for someone who is currently working as an Estimator. Must have the aptitude and willingness to learn our systems to prepare proposals for jobs with the ability to interact in a professional manner with the potential customer to sell the job. Must be able to professionally collect and analyze data in order to estimate the equipment, materials, and labor required to construct and provide installation of fencing. We work year-round and our clients are residential, commercial, government, municipalities, etc.
Valid Driver’s License with a good driving record – NO EXCEPTIONS
Keep work vehicle clean
Safely drive company vehicle to and from job site
2 years of fence installation or construction estimating experience
Mathematics - Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, proportions, percentages, area,
circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry
Excellent verbal and written communication with good interpersonal skills in working with both customers and co-
workers
Ability to read and interpret documents such as agreements, safety rules, and procedure manuals
Ability to write routine correspondence and reports
Ability to speak effectively to the crews and customers
Desire to complete QUALITY work in a safe and timely manner

Basic Job Duties
Travel to potential job sites to meet potential clients to gather information on materials needed and labor required
Evaluate area, specifications, and technical documentation to prepare cost, materials, and labor estimates
Confer with managers, owners, contractors, etc. on estimates
Develop profitable and sustainable sales growth
Develop and maintain relationships with new and existing clients and provide them with product options, walking
the job line, and making certain questions and concerns are adequately addressed to ensure client satisfaction
Review material and labor requirements to decide whether it is more cost-effective to produce or purchase
components
Recommend ways to make a product more cost effective or profitable
Other duties as assigned
