Job Overview
As a Harp Change Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our cheese production lines. Your primary responsibilities will revolve around timely harp changes, process improvement, and predictive maintenance. This position bridges the gap between production line workers and maintenance team members, offering an intellectually stimulating role with hands-on execution.
Responsibilities
Harp Change Management:
Execute rapid harp changes during production line operations.
Monitor harp wear and predict optimal replacement intervals through time studies.
Collaborate with production teams to schedule harp changes efficiently.
Process Optimization:
Identify opportunities to enhance harp change procedures.
Implement a redzone alert system to proactively signal harp replacements before failure.
Continuously improve the harp change process to minimize downtime.
Technical Execution:
Work swiftly and accurately to replace harps without disrupting production flow.
Troubleshoot minor issues related to harp functionality.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Collaboration and Communication:
Liaise with production line operators to understand real-time needs.
Coordinate with maintenance and engineering teams for technical support.
Communicate effectively to ensure seamless harp changeovers.
Assist the maintenance team with other needs that arise.
Safety and Compliance:
Adhere to safety protocols during harp changes.
Comply with company policies and procedures.
Report any safety concerns promptly.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
Mechanical aptitude and a keen eye for detail.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure.
Basic understanding of production line equipment.
Strong problem-solving skills.
