ESSEL is currently seeking an experienced and safety-oriented Laborer/Operator to assist in the operations and maintenance at our aggregate or asphalt plant and operate a variety of tasks safely and efficiently. In addition to assisting with the proper maintenance of the plant, you will also be responsible for inspecting, providing preventative maintenance, and operating a water truck when required for the daily operation of an aggregate or asphalt facility.
Labor - includes shoveling, operating equipment, washing, and maintaining the cleanliness of equipment and plant areas.
Document Daily Workplace Exams, Job Hazard Awareness, and regular maintenance checks to maintain adequate records of plant performance.
Assistance for preventative maintenance to ensure plant is safe and operating properly.
Miscellaneous – includes other various tasks your supervisor may ask of you pertaining to the operation of the facility.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Water Truck driving experience preferred and use of hand tools.
Knowledge of aggregate materials and products, ability to work in a team environment safely and productively
Plant and belt line locations may contain dust, fumes, debris, low to loud levels of noise and extreme weather conditions including excessive heat or cold and rain prevalent at times.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Employees may experience the following physical demands for extended periods of time: shoveling, lifting up to 50 pounds, sitting or standing for various lengths of time, and climbing of stairs.
