Local rehab center looking for a Lead cook to manage/lead our small kitchen operation for residents and staff. Position is full time, 40 hours a week.
Scope of work includes ordering from multiple providers such as Sysco and crystal dairy, maintaining inventory of food and supplies, some menu planning and preparing healthy tasteful food with an emphasis on low fat/high protein diets, while adhering to budget restrictions. Also overseeing and maintaining proper hygiene and sanitary conditions.
Qualified applicant must have good communication skills, a team mentality and multi-tasking will be required skills. Some commercial cooking experience is required, background in a fast-paced kitchen and/or buffet type service preferred. Servsafe manager certificate preferred, but willing to help train the right candidate.
Shift will generally be from 9am-6pm. Position is year-round; opportunities for varied shift times and/or days off are possible.
