Position/Title: Catering Coordinator
Immediate Supervisor: Catering & Events Director
Qualifications:
High school diploma.
A bachelor's or associate's degree in hospitality, culinary arts, or related field preferred.
Prior experience in the food service or hospitality industry required.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Flexible schedule and must work evenings and weekends.
Good networking and financial and/or business management skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Professional appearance.
Organized and punctual.
A passion for customer service.
Proficient use of computers and software.
General Duties:
1. Welcoming members and clients
2. Effectively communicate with all members, clients and staff in a friendly, courteous, and timely manner
3. Organize and coordinate an event timeline, ensuring that the event runs smoothy and efficiently
4. Coordinate and oversee décor set-up and breakdown
5. Assist with event setup and breakdown
6. Liaising with vendors and external suppliers and staff
7. Assisting management with food and décor budget, and managing finances for events
8. Create and maintain BEO’s and keep staff updated on changes
9. Other duties as assigned.
