Looking for an experienced maintenance technician whose primary responsibility will be the make vacant units ready for guests. Additional responsibilities will be to do work orders for occupied guest rooms and property facilities. This is a full time position with a set 40 hours per week schedule and fixed days off. You will earn paid vacation time as well as other paid time off. Please provide resume and list of skills that you possess. Looking for individual who has a minimum of 2 years apartment/hotel/motel experience. Must have your own tools.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
responsible for common area and motel repairs in the scope of plumbing, electrical, and carpentry
handle all aspects of the property's maintenance, interior and exterior building inspections, and preventive maintenance
attention to detail and skills to ensure the satisfaction of our guests
Efficiently complete all daily work orders
Troubleshoot repair and maintenance issues such as electrical, plumbing, appliances and carpentry
Work with office team to ensure all turn-over repairs and services are completed on schedule
Maintain accurate records for preventative maintenance-building mechanicals, service requests and guest room turn-over
Respond to after-hours on-call emergencies
Stay current on all applicable building codes and safety standards
Maintain trash and other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, appliance maintenance, and water heaters, ac unit cleaning
Professional, courteous, and friendly demeanor with customer interactions
Team-player
Must have reliable transportation for on-call emergencies
Minimum high school education or equivalent
Valid driver's license
Minimum 2 year of experience in general maintenance
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to lift 50 – 100 lbs. following appropriate safety procedures.
Work in an upright standing position for long periods of time.
Work in different environmental working conditions (ex heat, cold, wind, rain).
Walk and climb stairs, handle, grasp and feel objects and equipment. Reach with hands and arms, Communicate, receive and exchange ideas and information with property manager.
Ability to quickly and easily navigate the property/building as required to meet the job functions.
