Title: SMT Soldering Technician
Location: Henderson, NV
Role and Responsibilities:
As an SMT soldering technician, you will be responsible for soldering PCB assemblies. Your primary duties will include hand soldering of fine-pitch surface mount and thru-hole components, incorporating engineering change orders (ECO) on PCB assemblies, soldering cable assemblies, and assisting in electromechanical assembly of system-level products. Additionally, you may provide training in soldering/simple rework as needed.
Essential Functions:
Hand soldering of fine-pitch surface mount and thru-hole components in a lead-free (RoHS) assembly line using a microscope.
Soldering of cable assemblies.
Incorporation of engineering change orders (ECO) on PCB assemblies.
Assisting in electro-mechanical assembly of system-level products.
Providing training in soldering/simple rework as needed/required.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
Minimum 2 years of current experience in fine-pitch SMT and thru-hole soldering.
Prior experience and knowledge of IPC workmanship standards and/or certificates in soldering surface mount components. IPC-A-610 Certification is preferred.
Proficiency in hand soldering tools, hot-air machines, and microscope.
Experience in electro-mechanical assembly.
Understanding of electronic component types and packaging (e.g., BGA, SOICS, RES/CAP PACKAGES).
Ability to read and understand engineering assembly documents such as BOMs, assembly drawings, change orders, quality process documents, and simple schematics.
General computer skills.
Experience working in multi-disciplinary teams.
Ability to handle job stress and interact effectively with others in the workplace.
Fluent domain of the English language: ability to read, write, and speak English well.
Ability to carry out detailed written and oral instructions.

Ability to handle and lift objects weighing up to 30 lbs. alone; ability to lift objects weighing up to 60 lbs. in a two-person lift
