Job Overview:
Geopolymer International is seeking a skilled fabricator to join our team as an independent contractor on a per-project basis, ranging from part-time to full-time. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fabricating and assembling geopolymer cement mixing systems, 3D construction printers, and other related equipment, ensuring high standards of quality and precision. As a fabricator, you will work with designers, engineers, and other team members to make high-quality equipment that meets design specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Fabricate, assemble, and weld components for geopolymer cement mixing systems, 3D construction printers, and other equipment.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to ensure precise fabrication.
- Utilize a variety of tools, machinery, and fabrication techniques, including cutting, grinding, welding, and finishing.
- Collaborate with engineers and designers to refine prototypes and optimize manufacturing processes.
- Conduct quality control checks to ensure finished products meet required tolerances and specifications.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to safety protocols and best practices.
- Troubleshoot and resolve fabrication issues efficiently to ensure timely project completion.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Proven experience in fabrication, welding, mechanical assembly, or a related field.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and schematics.
- Strong knowledge of metalworking, machining, and assembly processes.
- Experience with MIG, TIG, or arc welding (certifications preferred).
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Knowledge of mixing equipment and 3D construction machinery assembly is a plus.
