About the Role:
We are looking for a compassionate and dependable In-Home Caregiver to provide personalized care and support for an adult female with autism spectrum disorder and intellectual developmental disability. As her caregiver, you will assist her in maintaining independence while ensuring a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment in her home. The shift is from 3:30 PM to 1:30 AM, offering care and companionship during her evening and nighttime routines.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with personal care tasks, including bathing, hygiene, dressing, and grooming.
Support with medication administration and ensure proper health monitoring.
Provide guidance and companionship during evening routines and activities.
Help with meal preparation and ensuring proper nutrition.
Assist with light housekeeping, home maintenance, and organizing the living space.
Provide transportation for community activities, appointments, and errands, if needed.
Model and encourage appropriate social skills and behaviors.
Be observant and respond to any needs that arise, ensuring her safety and well-being.
Help with budgeting tasks when needed and support her in maintaining independence.
Qualifications:
Experience working with individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities is preferred.
Must be patient, understanding, and compassionate.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently.
Current driver’s license and clean driving record required.
CPR/First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain.
Reliable and dependable, with a commitment to providing excellent care.
High school diploma or equivalent required; caregiving or human services training is a plus.
Compensation & Benefits:
$15.50 per hour.
