Shipping Floater

 Position SummaryThe Shipping Floater provides support under the guidance of a Team Leader and Supervisor. This role will include gaining a working knowledge of all processes within the department.  Organizational RelationshipThis position reports directly to Shift Supervisor Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Forklift experience is required, preferably on a Reach Truck and Stand Up ForkliftProvide leadership support to Receiving Lead and Shipping / Receiving SupervisorEnsure all needed equipment is ready and available for team at the start of the shiftEnsure all equipment is accounted for and put away at the end of the shiftAudit team members for PPEHelp coordinate and support receiving plan for scheduled inbound throughout the dayValidate proper restocking of pick locationsSupport daily rotations within the department and cover during team member breaksEnsure all team members are following SOS protocolTrain and mentor new team membersConduct weekly and monthly department auditsPerform daily lift inspectionsOversee and assist with end of shift clean-up processMust be flexible and adaptable in ability to help the team when necessaryAble to speak and understand both written and spoken EnglishAll other duties as may be assigned at management's discretion  Characteristics & AttributesAbility to handle multiple tasks and function in a team-oriented, fast-paced, matrix environment.Strong communication skills - listening, verbal, written and presentation.Strong problem-solving and analytical reasoning skills.Strong attention to detail and accuracy.Ability to work effectively across all levels of the organization.SHIFTS:1st shift hours: Monday - Thursday 5:30 AM - 4:00 PM, You will normally work this shift, however may need to work on Fridays based on company needs.BENEFITSInsurance coverage including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, flexible spending accounts, wellness programs, 401K all effective day 1 of employment, plus generous PTO and holidaysAssociate appreciation/recognition programsScholarship program for children of employeesOther benefits offered are dependent upon plant location, please check with HR for details
