Our client, a Las Vegas-based concrete subcontractor specializing in commercial projects, is looking for a seasoned and skilled Concrete Construction Estimator with demonstrated experience assessing the cost and quantity of materials required for construction projects. As our ideal candidate, you have proven knowledge of project cost estimation, bid preparation, and cost analysis of concrete work for restaurants, retail, car washes, commercial centers, and more.
This position requires full knowledge and capability to analyze project blueprints, determine scope of work, and develop cost estimates accordingly. You will collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure estimates align with budget constraints and project goals, so the ability to work collaboratively is key. Day to Day as Construction Estimator:
Review project plans to understand scope of work and identify concrete requirements.
Perform quantity take-offs, including excavation, formwork, reinforcement, and concrete volumes.
Utilize estimating software and tools to accurately calculate material quantities, labor costs, equipment expenses, and overhead costs.
Prepare and submit detailed proposals to clients and stakeholders, working with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing for materials and services.
Collaborate closely with project management to develop accurate and achievable project budgets and ensure successful execution.
As our ideal candidate you bring:
3+ years of estimation experience, with at least 1 year knowledge of concrete materials and industry standards.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting project plans, blueprints, and specifications.
Proven ability to assess costs for commercial concrete projects, including materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractors.
Experience utilizing estimating and takeoff software.
Ability to work independently and as a part of a team, collaborating with project managers, suppliers, and clients.
Outstanding organizational and time management skills.
Emotional intelligence and communication skills; enjoyable to work with.
Working knowledge of MS Office – Excel, Word.
Flexibility and adaptability, with the ability to shift priorities as needed.
Willingness to work on-site in Las Vegas, NV.
