We focus on offering a full range of architecture and planning, system implementation, integration, analytics and O&M for our customers. We are seeking an experienced Android Developer to develop and modernize legacy applications for a USDA Forest Service project. What you’ll be doing: Design and build advanced applications for the Android platform
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
Work with outside data sources and APIs
Unit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability
Work on bug fixing and improving application performance
Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency
What you must have:
3+ years of experience in Android app development
Experience publishing at least one original Android app
Ability to obtain a Public Trust per federal contract requirements
What we’d like you to have:
Proven software development experience and Android skills development
Experience with Android SDK
Experience working with remote data via REST and JSON
Experience with GeoLocation and GeoMapping using ESRI SDK will be a plus.
Experience with third-party libraries and APIs
Working knowledge of the general mobile landscape, architectures, trends, and emerging technologies
Solid understanding of the full mobile development life cycle.
