We are searching for an experienced Maintenance Technician to work on a community in Northwest Denver. In this role, you will perform a wide variety of maintenance duties. Our community will require an enthusiastic team player who recognizes that customer service is one of the most important aspects of the position. This position is expected to be able to repair and maintain most items on a property without outside vendor assistance. A minimum of 1-2 years of apartment maintenance experience and excellent communication skills required. Essential duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Turnover of apartments
Emergency and routine maintenance
Plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, electrical, appliance repair, grounds, painting & drywall
Prompt and efficient service calls in accordance with the service policy
Must be organized and able to work with vendors/contractors with related warranties
Responsible for performing assigned repairs, replacements, and installations
Perform and follow-up routinely in accordance to preventative maintenance guidelines
Ability to work closely with the Property Manager
On call duty is required, and will be a shared responsibility on a rotating basis
Maintains and secures all tools, maintenance equipment, materials, supplies etc. used in job
Responsible to comply with all safety manual, Fair Housing, and OSHA guidelines
To become a valuable member of our team, we require the following:
High School diploma or GED
Proper use of hand tools, power tools and possess a solid knowledge of mechanical equipment
A strong eye for detail
The ability to lift 50-75 pounds
On-call duties and responsibilities on a rotating basis
The ability to work flexible schedule, including overtime, nights, weekends and holidays.
Must pass background check and possible drug screening
Valid Driver’s license & reliable vehicle
This position requires personal contact with apartment residents. Proper conduct is essential at all times. You must maintain a high level of competency and efficiency in all aspects of maintenance operations. You must be capable of performing sustained manual labor. Position hours are normally Monday – Friday 9-5, but the position may require overtime, holiday and weekend work, ownership of hand tools, and being scheduled to be "on call". Ability to work in inclement weather is important.
