Position: Janitor
Salary: $17.60/hour Plus H&W Benefit Pay
Benefits:

Schedule:
1st Shift: 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
2nd Shift: 3:30 a.m. to 12:00 a.m.
3rd Shift: 12:00 a.m. to 8:30 a.m.
Must be able to work weekends & holidays as needed
Job Duties include but are not limited to:
Daily cleaning of:
● Public Restrooms
● Hallways, Lobbies, Waiting Areas, Elevators, Stairwells
● Administration Offices
● Locker areas
Floor Care:
● Sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, stripping/waxing and buffing floors
● Vacuuming, spot cleaning, and shampooing carpets
● Baseboard cleaning
Other:
● Dusting surfaces
● Polishing surfaces
● Emptying and relining waste cans
● Transporting cardboard to recycling container
● Bio-waste removal
● Replacing sharp containers
● Refilling paper towels, toilet paper, soap, and hand sanitizer
● Staging soiled linens in designated areas
● Deep cleaning areas as needed
● Other cleaning duties as needed
Physical Requirements
● Standing for extended periods of time.
● Frequent walking throughout the hospital building.
● The ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
● Frequent bending and stooping to clean lower surfaces (e.g., floors, baseboards).
● Kneeling to clean under furniture, toilets, or other low spaces.
● The ability to reach and clean high surfaces, such as windowsills or shelves, with step stools or ladders.
● The ability to push and pull equipment and supply carts, trash bins, etc.
● Repetitive sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and dusting motions.
● Extended use of hand tools such as mops, brooms, and scrub brushes.
● The ability to work with cleaning agents, chemicals, and cleaning equipment in various environments.
Requirements
● 1-2 years of recent janitorial experience, preferably in a hospital or clinic setting.
● Must be fluent in English and shall be able to read, write, speak, understand, and communicate effectively in English.
● Must undergo and pass a thorough background investigation and an additional government security check.
● Must be in good physical health and able to work in patient care areas without risk to the patients.
● Hepatitis B Vaccination - strongly encouraged
