The Strategy team manages strategic planning to achieve Acxiom’s goals and vision through research, planning and evaluation. The team is responsible for optimizing innovation and growth within Acxiom’s portfolio of businesses and products, and guides all investment decisions, whether for developing new products, investing in partner businesses, or leading targeted M&A initiatives. The Strategy team also serves as Acxiom’s principal research arm, providing regular updates on the industry and competitors to guide decision-making for senior leadership as well as managing Acxiom’s relationship with 3rd party research analysts.The Candidate We NeedAre you excited by the prospect of using strategic forecasting, effective project management, and financial analysis skills to drive business growth? In this role, you will own primary responsibility for market research, financial analysis, and M&A, driving key decisions that impact IPG & Acxiom growth.ResponsibilitiesFrames strategic questions and develops facts base including analysis of industry trends, customer needs, competitive threats, expansion opportunities, and internal performance

Apply this market intelligence to robust, complex market sizing analyses and financial models to identify and prioritize the best product development, partnership, and investment opportunities for Acxiom to pursue

Leverage outcomes of analysis to develop high-quality presentations and briefing materials and communicate key findings and recommendations to senior leadership

Mobilize execution once decisions have been made. Work cross-functionally in team-of-teams construct across Acxiom, IPG corporate, and selected partners & advisors to guide and lead strategy implementation, partnership opportunities, and buy-side / sell-side processes

Candidate RequirementsRequired Knowledge/Skills, Education, And ExperiencePreferred: B.A./B.S. in business, marketing, finance, or a related discipline, and eight to ten years in a market research and/or financial analysis role; M.B.A. and prior investment banking experience highly desirable

Demonstrated leadership and project management capabilities, especially in cross-functional settings

Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills; tenacity to learn, analyze, and resolve complex situations

Excellent Excel skills; comfortable in developing models from scratch or with a short turnaround time

Familiarity with accounting and M&A; comfortable building exhibits for acquisition and investment opportunities

Superior written and verbal communication and presentation skills, including superb PowerPoint skills; comfortable presenting in front of large groups of people, especially to senior management and C-Level executives

Ability to translate and simplify problems of considerable scope and complexity into manageable tasks with measurable requirements.

An approachable individual who provides a high level of teamwork and cross-functional collaboration; builds positive and trustworthy relationships across all functions and levels

Must be highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects/tasks simultaneously and effectively prioritize projects and tasks.

Distill complex and complicated data into easy-to-digest format for key stakeholders; ability to develop visualizations and dashboards in PowerBI, Tableau or related technologies a plus
