'>OPPDs Business Technology (BT) division is looking to add an Infrastrucutre Engineer to the BT Infrastrucutre team in support of its mission of providing reliable, affordable, and environmentally sensitive energy services. In this role, you will maintain operational aspects of OPPD’s infrastructure by responding to incidents, optimizing throughput, infrastructure availability, and utilization of enterprise resources. This role will coordinate work with other engineers and operating groups to facilitate participation of various organizational units.Perform conventional, intermediate level engineering assignments that would take approximately three to six months to complete.Perform testing of materials

Prepare specifications

Participate in completing process study tests

Collaborate with vendors to resolve issues when necessary

Perform incident request management for task by evaluating the request and determining the best path for resolution.Provide support on an on-call rotation basis

Perform break/fix analysis and troubleshooting

Escalate incidents to the Sr Infrastructure Engineer as needed

Coordinate with other teams to identify proper thresholds and actions to maintain monitoring standards.Identify appropriate monitoring levels prior to triggering thresholds

Draft procedural documentation defining and outlining thresholds and action plans to address

Train/facilitate discussions cross functionally to ensure new plans are understood and adhered to

Maintain infrastructure monitoring platform, trending, dashboards, and reporting

Implement and manage server operating systems lifecycles.Monitor servers to ensure they are up to date on current operating systems

Perform analysis on what servers need updated and by when

Execute plans and timelines for maintenance/update activities

Performing patching activities as directed by Microsoft

Initiate and participate in internal and external security and vulnerability assessment remediation.Automate patch management and software distribution solutions

Research and apply vulnerability patches obtained by vendors

Identify opportunities for automation and process improvement by collaborating with other areas to develop and deliver solutions that maintain standards from an operations and structural perspective.Utilize configuration management tools to maintain consistency of systems, devices, and applications

Automatically deliver and make rapid changes across the infrastructure

Because of our unique position, we get to live them out every day and leave every night knowing the work we put in is worth doing.QualificationsRequired: A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Engineering, Mathematics or related field, and a minimum of three (3) years of experience in an equivalent role; OR 7+ years of experience in the design, configuration and operation of an enterprise infrastructure

Must be able to accommodate 24 hour on call schedule

General experience in a wide variety of technical areas including, but not limited to: application deployment, configuration management, workflow automation / orchestration, process automation

Ability to collaborate with resources across multiple disciplines

Experience installing, administering and monitoring Microsoft Windows and Unix/Linux systems

Experience installing, configuring, and supporting enterprise-class server hardware (Cisco UCS)

Experience with virtualization platforms such as VMWare vSphere, Microsoft Hyper-V, Citrix XenDesktop

Knowledge of storage/backup solutions (PURE, VNX, vPlex, Data Domain, Avamar)

Knowledge of SAN fabric switching (Brocade)

Experience with Microsoft Active Directory and Exchange

Experience scripting in Powershell, Python, or other languages

Knowledge of networking fundamentals (LAN, WAN, VLAN, Routing, Firewalls, etc.)

Experience with datacenter management/monitoring (power, space, cooling, rack elevations, cable plant)

Desired: Desired experience with Traffic Management (F5, Netscaler)

Desired experience with automation
