Salary: Very competitive, but based on experience
We seek a skilled and experienced Professional General Mechanic and/or Body Technician with Classic Car Experience to join our team. An applicant does not need to be experienced at both but should be familiar with at least one. If you have a passion for working with classic cars and extensive knowledge of their mechanical systems, this is an exciting opportunity.
Responsibilities:
-Perform all aspects of body and metal work to include sheetmetal repair and replacement, filler and blocking work, and panel alignment.
- Perform general maintenance and repairs on classic cars, including engine tune-ups, oil changes, brake repairs, and electrical system diagnostics.
- Conduct thorough inspections to identify mechanical issues, provide accurate diagnoses, and recommend necessary repairs.
- Repair classic car engines, transmissions, suspensions, and other components as needed.
- Maintain an organized and efficient work environment, ensuring all tools and equipment are in excellent condition.
- Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations while performing all tasks.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a General Mechanic and/or Body Technician, focusing on classic cars. Minimum [1 year] of relevant work experience.
- Knowledge of classic car makes models.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment, managing multiple tasks and prioritizing accordingly.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Detail-oriented and committed to delivering quality workmanship.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
Lengthy experience is not required but an applicant must be willing to take direction from other technicians. The potential to learn and develope skills is tremendous for the right person in this shop.
