As a member of staff, the employee is expected to embrace and contribute to our culture of process improvement with a focus on streamlining our processes adding value to our business and meeting client needs. Travel (approximately 1%) domestic and/or international Supports study start-up activities (e.g. reviews, comments on and contributes to study design, protocols, case report forms). Writes statistical methods sections of study protocols with oversight. Performs sample size and power calculations with oversight. Reviews database specifications. Supports development of statistical analysis plans. Develops table shells. Adheres to SOPs. Implements quality control checks throughout programming. Leads the uploading/downloading of data transfers (internal or external). Leads initial review of raw variables. Develops written specifications for derived variables from oral descriptions. Creates derived variables from written or oral specifications. Selects appropriate statistical procedures with oversight. Programs basic statistical procedures. Programs specialized statistical procedures (e.g., repeated measures, survival analysis, etc.) and/or SAS/Graph with oversight. Develops complex macros for use by the group with oversight. Develops deliverables, such as project reports and outputs, graphs, and tables with oversight. Participates in development of abstracts, presentations, and manuscripts with oversight. Writes methods and results sections of final reports and publications, with oversight. Communicates with the client or investigator as needed. Works independently with client or investigator on defined subtasks with oversight. Gives internal technical presentations. Supports organization of internal presentations. May participate in professional activities including presentations at technical conferences (e.g. SAS meetings, ISPOR) with oversight. Attends weekly Data meetings. Supports development of new SOPs and revision of existing SOPs. Undertakes other reasonably related duties as may be assigned from time to time.
