Will train motivated candidates!Starting at $18/hr with growth potential to $20/hr within 18 months!Due to continued growth, we currently have an opening for a Petroleum Service Technician in Training. The Service Technician will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing and service of automotive, electronic, hydraulic and/or mechanical petroleum equipment and products as applicable. If selected for this position, you will train with an experienced technician in the Omaha, NE area while pursuing certifications in our trade. After the training period (generally 6-9 months), we provide a service vehicle and the technician will respond to service calls in the Lincoln, NE area, as well as central and western Nebraska. Candidates must be willing to travel on a regular basis across Nebraska and occasionally to South Dakota and Kansas. Responsibilities:
Troubleshoots, performs repairs and preventative maintenance on gasoline dispensers and related equipment.
Installs, troubleshoots and maintains Point of Sale (POS) equipment.
Monitors and is accountable for accuracy of parts inventory on service van including, but not limited to, transfers of parts to appropriate jobs and other service techs as applicable as well as returns to warehouse facilities.
Analyzes electronic and mechanical problems and provide repairs as required.
Installs, programs and tests new equipment
Communicate with customers and explain technical issues to non-technical people.
Present yourself professionally as a representative of Seneca Companies and be prompt when making service calls.
On-call rotation and overtime available!
Candidates that have a strong mechanical and/or electrical aptitude with experience working on motors, pumps, etc. are encouraged to apply. Sign on bonuses (up to $2,500) available for certified Gilbarco technicians!Qualifications:
High school education or GED
1-2 years experience in a maintenance or technical field preferred
Basic electrical knowledge and mechanical abilities
Valid driver's license and ability to travel regionally with occasional overnight stays
