Diversified Transfer & Storage (DTS) is looking for a driver Recruiter/Driver Services Assistant. We are an LTL reefer carrier based in Billings MT, with terminal locations in Aurora, CO and Salt Lake City, UT. DTS is celebrating 32 years of excellent service and satisfied customers! Our fleet is expanding! This position will assist in recruiting for our OTR and local operations at all 3 terminals. The position also assists in Driver Services.
DRIVER RECRUITING SUMMARY:
Assisting in recruiting calls, background checks, and items in support of recruiting efforts
Source and develop candidates from a variety of recruiting sites
Be able to pitch our open positions to candidates
Assist in onboarding and orientation
DRIVER SERVICES SUMMARY:
Address dispatch/driver conflicts
Contacting the drivers regarding missing paperwork. Investigate the cause; bill of ladings, computer receipts, etc.
Calling new drivers daily
Assist in scheduling driver’s PTO requests
Address HOS needs from both dispatchers and drivers
Keeping a watchful eye for unread messages from drivers
Assist in driver fueling at company preferred fuel stops
Assist in finding parking, safe parking, minimizing negative effects on manifest schedules
Hotel/Motel reservations as needed
Tablet training, assist in updates
Random calls to drivers
Update computer information given from driver, change of address, phone numbers, etc.
Be the ear for the driver; plead case to dispatch of drivers’ concerns to see if/what can be worked out
QUALIFICATIONS:
Transportation background very highly preferred
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
Be able to handle multiple and competing priorities
Excellent phone skills
Ability to work 2 Sundays/month
