A DAY IN THE LIFE AS AN ACCOUNTING ASSOCIATE:

As our Accounting Associate, you will prepare and present property financial statements and related financial documents. You will positively resolve and ensure financials are accurate, on time, and in compliance with GAAP, state/federal laws, and company policy. Reconcile bank, investment, and trust statements and manage cash flow/owner distributions. You will collaborate and key basic property accounting activities such as ledger accuracy, invoicing, security deposit disposition, Journal Entries, Debits, Credits & etc. The candidate will be responsible for the preparation, presentation and communication of operating results for the investor's properties. Looking for Immediate Hire within 10 days

Key Responsibilities:

-Performs accounting and reporting duties

-Preparation of the monthly financial statement packets for clients

-Interact with Clients as needed on basic/complex issues. Include supervisor or manager on advanced issues.

-Assist and coach accounting associates on client procedures and recording corrections.

-Record JE’s (month-end closing entries, accruals, prepaids, etc.) Review GL’s to ensure accuracy.

-Keying of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.

-Manage positive pay file upload and review exceptions.

-Prepare management fee and reconciliation supporting schedules.

-Prepare monthly distribution schedules and client funding requests.

-Assist in preparation of audit support at year-end.

-Ad hoc financial analyses as needed and directed.

-Assist Property Managers with various explanations.

The responsibilities of this position may evolve over time as Summit continues to merge with Home River Group.

Qualifications:

● Intermediate to advanced experience using MS Office (Excel & Word) applications, G-Suite and strong accounting systems experience.

● The candidate should be computer savvy and quickly adapt to new computer systems

● Must be able to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously

● At least 1 year of Accounting experience. Accounting or Finance (Preferred Not Required)

● Solid working knowledge of accounting, GL processing and reporting.

● Excellent verbal and written communication skills

● Must be detail oriented, accurate, organized and consistent.

Additional Working hours may be required.
