Ranch Hand Summer Intern
Indian Prairie Land & Cattle is looking for a Summer Intern for our family recreational and cattle ranch in Victor Montana.
The Job: We are looking for someone from Mid-May to the end of August (though can be flexible to accommodate school schedules). Duties include grounds keeping, mowing, weedeating, brush clearance, assisting with cattle (though this is not really a “cattle ranching” job), assisting with irrigation, maintenance projects as capable, clean up, road maintenance, and other general duties typical of the upkeep of this kind of property. The job reports to the Ranch Manager
Compensation: This is an hourly job, and expected to be approximately 40 hours per week. Compensation is $20 / hour.
You: This is a physically demanding job that is, for the majority, outdoors and requires manual dexterity, frequent movement, reaching and lifting, extended periods of time of walking or standing. You must have the ability to carry, push or pull up to 50 pounds for short distances and lift from floor to shoulder height up to 65 pounds. You must be a hard worker in unsupervised situations and must be able to complete projects and work independently. No other experience required.
You must have a valid driving license, clean driving record, no criminal record or outstanding warrants, and be drug free. We will conduct a background check and contact references from prior employment (if any). Confidentiality respected.
