LaborMax Staffing is working with a caring healthcare organization with a need to find amazing people looking for great job opportunities as a long term Environmental Service Housekeeper! We currently have day shift, swing shift and overnight positions available.
Principal Duties / Responsibilities
-Dispose of all infectious and non-infectious waste
-Clean patient rooms and common areas
-Dust all areas both high and low
-Stock supplies for cart and room as required
-Demonstrate proficiency in the cleaning of beds and the Alaris IV Pumps
-Demonstrate communication skills according to age of patient/visitor/customer
-Clean patient rooms or dismissal units; duties including but are not limited to: disinfecting all surfaces, emptying trash, cleaning of sinks, counter areas, shower and toilet, dusting, mopping and vacuuming, restocking paper products and shampooing the carpet.
-Disinfect all public areas duties including but are not limited to: sinks, toilets, washing walls, damp mop, and refill paper products, stairwells, damp disinfecting all areas, disinfecting handrails, replacement of blinds and shampooing carpets, buffing or waxing of floors in areas where needed.
-Follow proper procedure for separating regular waster versus bio hazardous waste, disposal of needles, and storage of clean and dirty linens.
-Clean Ancillary areas duties including but are not limited to: vacuum, cleaning restrooms, trash disposal, damp disinfecting.
-Dispose of Sharps container per policy (if applicable).
Required experience
-High School Diploma or equivalent, preferred
-Basic computer skills, required
-Related experience or training, preferred
-Prior housekeeping or comparable experience, preferred
Skills and Abilities:
Ability to achieve cognitive, organization and emotional maturity to deal effectively with multiple tasks, stresses, deadlines, difficult situations and/or customers. Possesses interpersonal/communication skills necessary for effective, non-judgmental, and empathetic patient care and customer relations.
