The St. Francis Xavier Child Care Center has been a part of the ministries and services for three years provided by St. Francis Xavier Parish. The Center takes children ranging from infant through 4 years in a fully licensed and caring environment. We are located in the lower level of the Loyola Center on the St. Francis Xavier Parish campus, adjacent to Providence-St. Patrick Hospital.
The Child Caregiver is a position within the St. Francis Xavier Child Care Center providing care for infants to 4 year olds. The Child Caregiver will assist by preparing meals for children, maintaining their hygiene, monitoring them for health, behavioral, and emotional concerns, providing them with age-appropriate instruction and working with parents to ensure that children are learning and socializing in a positive way. They may also assist with sterilizing toys, equipment, and play areas and other duties as assigned to ensure that the children are in a safe, engaging, and clean environment.
Child Caregivers are expected to be thorough and caring with an eye for detail. Child Caregivers should be prepared to meet the physical demands of the position and have an understanding of the childhood development process.
We are open M-F 6:45 AM- 5:30 PM.
