Overview:
In this role you will be responsible to assist with construction management. Tasks may include but are not limited to: planning, evaluating, estimating, scheduling, supplier and product selection and management; implementing construction best practices for subcontractor trades selection; overseeing job site work, and coordinating, training, mentoring, managing and empowering volunteer resources. Overseeing site clean-up and organization. The ideal candidate would be a journeyman carpenter with nonprofit experience, who aligns with the values and mission, and is long term and career oriented to take over for the Construction Supervisor eventually. The ideal candidate would have the physical ability and desire to be in the field building, while possessing the managerial experience and interpersonal skills to train volunteers. This client would consider someone who may not have sufficient managerial experience if they do possesses the skills to build a house from the ground up, and have the work history to prove longevity and promotability.
Requirements:
Construction Supervision – previous “hands on” experience from layout to final walk through REQUIRED.
Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications.
Must have reliable transportation and Valid driver’s license.
Must pass background check.
Must be willing to work at multiple locations in the Flathead Valley, depending on location of current build cycle.

This is a Full Time position. The organization is working on launching a new program, so there is a lot of room for growth. Pay starts at $19 per hour, and they are completely open to increased pay for qualified candidates, the wage is negotiable. Schedule and hours are to be determined based on need for the current project.
