Whitefish Animal Hospital is an AAHA accredited full service companion animal hospital in Whitefish, Montana that services all of the Flathead Valley. It is our commitment to provide quality veterinary care throughout the life of our client's pets.

Our services and facilities are designed to assist in routine preventive care for young, healthy pets; early detection and treatment of disease as a pet ages; and complete medical and surgical care as necessary during his or her lifetime, including spays/neuters, dental cleanings, orthopedics (TPLO certified), and emergencies.

Responsibilities:

- Assist veterinarians in providing medical care to animals

- Perform routine procedures such as vaccinations, blood draws, and dental cleanings

- Monitor and record vital signs of animals during procedures and treatments

- Administer medications and treatments as directed by veterinarians

- Prepare animals for surgery and assist during surgical procedures

- Conduct laboratory tests and analyze results

- Maintain accurate medical records for each animal

- Educate pet owners on proper animal care and treatment

Skills:

- Animal care: Knowledge of proper handling, feeding, and grooming techniques for different types of animals

- Aseptic technique: Ability to maintain a sterile environment during medical procedures to prevent infection

- Animal restraint: Skill in safely restraining animals during examinations and treatments

- Kennel: Experience in managing the care and cleanliness of animal housing areas

- Animal husbandry: Understanding of animal behavior, nutrition, and environmental enrichment

- Pet care: Ability to provide basic care and support for pets, including feeding, exercise, and hygiene

- Dog training: Knowledge of dog behavior and training techniques to assist with behavior modification and obedience training

- Veterinary: Familiarity with veterinary terminology, procedures, and protocols

- Veterinary technician: Proficiency in performing veterinary nursing tasks under the supervision of a veterinarian

- Pet grooming: Skill in bathing, brushing, and grooming pets to maintain their health and appearance
