Purchasing Assistant Manager
Hammer Nutrition is thriving with breakthrough new products in expanding markets. We are looking for a highly motivated, extremely effective problem solver to join our growing family in Whitefish, Montana.
You will be working directly with the Purchasing Manager, assisting with successful supply chain management duties, from tracking inventory and product transfers, as well as procuring labels and packaging. This includes but is not limited to maintaining close and cooperative relationships with a few problematic vendors, managing inbound and outbound freight, and working to balance inventory on hand at multiple warehouse locations with the stock levels available for sale and more.

Tasks
Manage inventory hand for multiple SKUs in multiple warehouses
Use existing sales systems to mine data / analyze information
Track Vendor lag times and increasing lead-times
Analyze purchase orders, receive purchase orders, track shipments, and update ERP system
Communicate with colleagues on expected delivery times and out-of-stock items.
Update and maintain item information, costs, and pricing on the ERP as well as B2C website
Manage vendor relations through analytics and communication, maintaining a continual flow of email and phone communication with some complicated and unresponsive vendors who need continual attention.
Understand project rollout obstacles in a nationwide retail environment.
Skills
Organized, Analytical, Critical thinker, and Problem Solver
Good understanding of supply chain procedures
Familiarity with Excel and Inventory Data Bases
Willing to learn and master Oracle NetSuite Purchasing system
Good verbal and written communication skills
Excellent interpersonal and social skills
Starting Wage and Benefits
