The Six Mill Levy campaign is seeking a dedicated canvasser to help knock doors and talk to voters in Helena. The Six Mill Levy is a Montana tradition that goes back to 1948 and allows Montana students to receive a top-quality education at an affordable price. The levy must be renewed by voters every ten years, and we need passionate workers in Helena to rally voters in Lewis and Clark County.
Hours: 30 hours a week (6 hours a day, Sunday-Thursday)
Responsibilities include:
-Knocking doors and providing voters with information about the Six Mill Levy
-Talking with voters to highlight supporters and build a volunteer network for the campaign
-Presenting a professional image of the campaign to voters on the doors
Minimum Qualifications:
-Applicant must be comfortable with talking to voters on doors and presenting the campaign
-Applicant should be passionate about education and the passage of the Levy to ensure the next generation of Montanans can afford higher education
-Applicant must have the ability to lead other canvassers and coordinate with the Field Organizer to achieve statewide goals
-Applicant must be able to work through the General Election on November 6th, 2018
Preferred Qualifications:
-Experience canvassing and working with a campaign or nonprofit
-Previous experience within a leadership role
-A personal connection with a Montana College or University
