Seeking a motivated, disciplined, experienced project manager for a full-time position at our custom furniture shop. Green Seam Designs is a custom furniture shop in Bozeman, MT with an outstanding reputation in the custom furniture industry. We design and build high-end wood, metal, and upholstered furniture. GSD makes heirloom-quality products. When building our furniture we strive to source as many sustainable, natural, and non-VOC materials and finishes as possible.

This is a rare opportunity to join our team! We are looking for a project manager who would like to work with a group of multi-disciplined craftspeople. The responsibilities of a project manager are the planning, drafting, and overseeing of projects to ensure they are completed in a timely fashion and within budget. The project manager will plan and designate project resources, prepare construction drawings and work/project orders, monitor progress, and keep management and clients informed through the process. Professional and timely communication with clients (interior designers, architects, homeowners, etc.) is necessary to receive and provide detailed project information. We have a tight knit team and are looking for the right new member to invest in!

You will be asked to provide the information you receive from clients in a well organized manner to our craftspeople. A background in diverse high-end materials and building techniques will help tremendously. Our team works closely together, so you will be involved in most aspects of the process and are required to communicate and problem solve with members working in our wood shop, metal shop, and upholstery shop. You will be working with experts in each field as well as teammates with intermediate knowledge of the craft.

You should have the following (or we are willing to train the right candidate):

2+ years of experience in project managing

5+ years of experience in the construction/design/custom build industry

5+ years of CAD/BIM experience (Sketchup, Rhino, AutoCAD, Revit, etc.)

Resourcefulness

Familiar with techniques for woodworking, metalworking, upholstery, specialized luxury fabrics, vinyl, and leathers. (and willingness to learn more about all aspects)

Careful attention to details and step by step processes

Ability to read 2D & 3D plans

Excellent time management

Ability to use technology for communication and to track and document projects

Ability to proficiently use Microsoft Office Suite

Ability to proficiently use Adobe Creative Suite (Indesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Acrobat)
