Summer Job, Begins on or about May 15th till end of September
Endeavor Aviation, the hot air balloon charter company will be seeking "part time" hot-air balloon chase crew.
This job involves very heavy lifting, driving large trucks with trailers and preference will be given to individuals with prior experience in these fields. We do not expect any prior ballooning experience. We will train you.
All flights are early mornings around sunrise and can occur seven days a week, we are seeking people with open availability during the mornings ONLY and the ability to crew for the entire season which runs May-October, heaviest amounts of flying will be late June to late August.
We fly in Bozeman and Big Sky on-demand and are seeking folks with the ability to get themselves to and from work reliably.
We will generally meet at sunrise, earliest of which will be 6am and be done no later than 11am, but usually the whole flight operation takes less than 3 hours total. As a flight crew member you will be responsible for set-up, chase and take down of the balloon system. We fly once per day.
This is not an offer for a free balloon flight, you will be on the ground. Most of our crew members do get at least one chance to fly during the season though.
Pay is by the flight at $50.00 in Bozeman ($70 in Big Sky) plus tips which can be significant each day. Average base pay plus tips is usually around or over $100/day. This is a great way to have fun and earn some serious extra money before most people get out of bed. A majority of our past crew members have had other jobs during the afternoons/evenings.
