Position Overview:
We are a family-oriented dental practice with a tight-knit team that has been working together for many years. We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our practice. While prior dental experience is not required, we are looking for the right fit with the willingness to learn and grow. This is a flexible position with both full-time and part-time options available, including the possibility of working on Tuesdays and Thursdays only.
As a Dental Assistant, you will always have the support of 1-2 other experienced dental assistants working alongside you to ensure smooth and efficient patient care.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Prepare treatment rooms for patients and sterilize instruments.
Assist the dentist during dental procedures.
Take digital x-rays, intraoral camera photos, and assist with other digital imaging as needed.
Perform dental charting and maintain detailed, accurate patient records using Open Dental software.
Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-operative care.
Collaborate with the dental team to ensure high-quality patient care.
Fabricate temporary crowns (training provided if needed).
Qualifications & Requirements:
Certification in dental assisting preferred, but not required.
Dental Radiology Certification (or willingness to obtain).
Current CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Work Schedule:
Full-time preferred, but part-time options are available.
Typical schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday from 7 AM to 3 PM; Wednesday 8 AM to 5 PM.
No Fridays or weekends.
Compensation:
Pay: $19.00 - $25.00 per hour, based on experience.
Expected Hours: 32-36 hours per week for full-time positions.
