Position Summary: The Dual-modality Radiology Technologist delivers high quality CT and X-Ray exams to assist in diagnosis or treatment. Independently performs CT and X-Ray procedures, producing images for the interpretation by or at the request of a licensed practitioner. This role supports outpatient and inpatient settings with a variable schedule.Minimum Qualifications:Required

Graduate of Committee of Allied Health Education and Accreditation (CAHEA) accredited Radiology program or equivalent, and documented competencies in Radiology and CT

Montana Licensure (Radiologic Technologist)

American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) advanced certification in CT

American Heart Association BLS within 90 days of hire

Two (2) years of previous radiology experience

Preferred

Associates or Bachelor’s degree in health care related studies

Essential Job Functions:In addition to the essential functions of the job listed below, employees must have on-time completion of all required education as assigned per DNV requirements, Bozeman Health policy, and other registry requirements.

Performs quality CT and X-Ray/fluoroscopic exams and procedures as requested by medical staff.

Operates with limited supervision, while maintaining high attention to detail, customer needs, and high reliability.

Assists medical staff in other departments during exams and procedures as necessary and appropriate.

Performs ancillary duties as required to maintain proper distribution, billing, and archival of exams and procedures.

Completes documentation, in designated area, of all information required for proper interpretation, reporting, archiving, and retrieval of exams.

Retrieves written orders and related health information to ensure the timely performance and reporting of exams and procedures.

Physical Requirements

Lifting, Pushing, and Pulling: Support 50 pounds of weight (patient, assist with bedside needs, etc.) Lift 50 pounds (pick up a child, transfer a patient, etc.) Carry equipment/supplies. Use upper body strength (CPR, physically restrain patient, etc.)

Extended Hours: The role may involve working for extended periods, requiring sitting, walking, or standing for eight or more hours daily.

Flexible Schedule: The position may necessitate working beyond a standard 40-hour workweek, including weekends and after-hours shifts.

On-Call Availability: On-call work may be required to respond to organizational and patient needs promptly.

Effective Communication: Proficient in effective communication, both in person and through various technologies.

Handling Challenging Situations: The role may involve dealing with upset individuals, requiring the ability to de-escalate situations and work effectively with frustrated patients or families.

Repetitive Tasks: Ability to perform repetitive tasks as needed to fulfill job responsibilities.

Bloodborne pathogens, such as blood, bodily fluids, or tissues.

Radiation in settings where medical imaging procedures are performed

Infectious diseases due to contact with patients in areas that may have contagious illnesses

Emotionally challenging situations, such as dealing with distressed patients or difficult family interactions.
