Essential Job Functions:Can perform, record and interpret all titrationsKnows and understands how to transfer titration sheet informationAbility to control bath temperatures, using temp controller and/or manuallyAbility to conduct a tank transfer to and from holding tanksCommunicates with the water treatment operator on tank dumpsAble to transfer chemicals from drums/totes to tanks manually with pumpAbility to make water and chemical additions to maintain proper concentration and cleanlinessComprehends operation of React controller – ex. Decontamination, time feed, counter flow settingsEffectively uses scrubber brushes by making proper adjustments when needed and should know where reset button is located in case either brush kicks outTurn off chemcoater on night stripsUnderstands production schedule, steel sheets and paint sheets for proper treatment changesAble to control tank/bath levelsRecycles 1402W and rinse water from chemcoater clean-ups and drains to the tote to be reusedComprehends conductivity probe operation & able to troubleshoot a proper problemKnows how to charge a new bathKnows how to maintain and follow up on the wet section PM logAble to change tank/bath screensKnows how to  adjust and clean spray bars in spray boothsAdjust squeeze roll pressuresUnderstands and knows how Oil Separator is operated and cleanedAble to perform treatment Quick Changes in a timely manner  Capable of performing start-up/shut-down processes of wet sectionUnderstands basic waste treatment operationsUnderstands and is able use Henkel manualKnowledge of and capable of performing procedures on chemical and/or bath spillsCommunicates verbally with other departments of the plant concerning plant operationsCheck equipment and fill out daily log sheetCalibrate process control equipment as neededUnderstands basic waste treatment operationsUnderstands and is able use Henkel manualKnowledge of and capable of performing procedures on chemical and/or bath spillsCommunicates verbally with other departments of the plant concerning plant operationsCheck equipment and fill out daily log sheetCalibrate process control equipment as neededKeep steering unit covers cleanTake chemical inventory and record chemical and water usage dailyClean tanks as requiredUnderstands basic waste treatment operationsMaintains clean and organized work area according to 6S standardsOther Duties and Responsibilities:Opens containersReplaces coating roll bearingsPerforms  pretreatment coating roll changes and know the difference in coater rolls and their useParticipates in squeegee roll and bearing changes, in tank cleaning, spray bar header & nozzle cleaning, and other line upkeep as neededProperly labels all wastes.Utilizes satellite accumulation area for hazardous waste operationsInspects chemcoater rolls  for potential damage and/or roll grind patternActively participates in adhering to plant housekeeping requirements by picking up trash, sweeping work areas, and returning materials and equipment to their proper locationsAssists maintenance (when specialized maintenance skills are not required) with line repairs and clean upAbility to handle totes with a hand truck or forkliftKnowledge and ability to make quick decisions when supervision is not readily available.Work from ladders and platforms at various heightsVisual acuity to read and record sample informationUnderstands and utilizes FIFO procedures in connection with wet section chemicals and other materialsAdheres to all safety and work rulesAdheres to job specific SOPsAssists and trains new employeesMaintains regular and on-time attendanceReads and comprehends instructions regarding new equipment, equipment changes and/or procedural changesPerforms miscellaneous assignments as directedUse computer to enter and retrieve informationCritical Demands:Ability to handle 55-gallon drums with hand-operated drum trucksHand, eye and feet coordination to operate fork trucksSquat, kneel or stoop frequently to perform job dutiesReach or extend forward for long periods of time to perform job dutiesAbility to read and comprehend written materials such as schedules, SOPs, work rules, etc.Ability to comprehend and follow oral instructionsFrequently lift and carry up to 50 poundsWalk or stand for extended periods of timeStamina to work in extreme temperaturesAscend and descend stairs to reach work areasDexterity to operate computers in order to enter or retrieve informationCommunicate with other employees verbally or in writingRepetitive use of hands to press buttons and operate line controlsOccasional twisting of the neck and trunkSufficient physical movement in order to safely operate complex, high speed equipmentExperience and ability to make quick decisions when supervision is not readily available
