Job Title: Roof and Siding Repair Technician

Job Summary:
The Roof and Siding Repair Technician is responsible for inspecting, repairing, and maintaining residential and commercial roofs and siding. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong technical skills, and a commitment to providing excellent customer service. The ideal candidate will have experience in roof and siding repair, an understanding of safety protocols, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:
Inspection and Assessment:
Conduct thorough inspections of roofs and siding to identify damage, leaks, and wear.
Assess the extent of repairs needed and provide accurate estimates to clients.
Repair and Maintenance:
Perform repairs on various types of roofing systems, including asphalt, metal, tile, and flat roofs.
Repair and replace siding materials such as vinyl, wood, aluminum, and fiber cement.
Seal and weatherproof roofs and siding to prevent future damage.
Installation:
Assist with the installation of new roofing and siding materials when necessary.
Ensure all installations meet industry standards and local building codes.
Customer Service:
Communicate effectively with clients to explain inspection results, repair processes, and maintenance recommendations.
Provide excellent customer service by addressing client concerns and ensuring satisfaction with work performed.
Safety and Compliance:
Follow all safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE) while on job sites.
Ensure compliance with company policies and OSHA regulations.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Documentation:
Maintain detailed records of inspections, repairs, and materials used.
Complete job reports and submit them to supervisors in a timely manner.
Use companies CRM system
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in roofing and siding repair or a related field.
Skills and Abilities:
Strong knowledge of various roofing and siding materials and repair techniques.
The ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents is a plus.
Proficiency with tools and equipment used in roof and siding repair.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Physical stamina and the ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions.
Certifications:
Relevant certifications (e.g., CertainTeed, GAF, Owens Corning, Firestone, ect) are a plus.
Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and carry heavy materials (up to 50 pounds).
Ability to climb ladders and work on roofs and elevated platforms.
Comfortable working in various weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold.
Work Environment:
Strong Culture
Primarily outdoor work on residential and commercial job sites.
Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
Travel to various job sites within Saint Louis.
