Job DescriptionThe Applications System Administrator serves as a subject matter expert and will be responsible for overseeing the installation, management, upgrades, and support of EBI’s business applications (IFS ERP, LabVantage LIMS, BPC, Macola, etc). The Applications System Administrator ensures the smooth operation of the system, resolves technical issues, and collaborates with various stakeholders to optimize system functionality and enhance operational efficiency.This person will work closely with the Oracle Database Administrator, Business Systems Analysts, & Infrastructure Operations team. It is vital that the successful candidate can understand and communicate the cross-functional technical concepts.This position is located in St Louis, MO.Responsibilities Include:

Configure, install, u pgrade, & patch IFS ERP and other business applications.

Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure uninterrupted operation.

Analyzes software application issues and determines effective course of action to improve operational functionality.

Aid in evaluation, testing, and implementation of new modules and upgraded software.

Work with EBI Global Infrastructure & Operations team with respect to hardware needs and requirements (physical & virtual), networking needs, and security requirements.

Work with software vendors to obtain support, resolve issues, and receive product updates.

Maintain vendor relationships and ensure adherence to service level agreements (SLAs).

Participates in disaster recovery planning and testing.

Develops and maintains documentation, knowledge base of best practices, manuals for procedures.

Participates in routine meetings related to the ERP system and core IT Operational systems.

Participates in after-hours support during evenings and weekends as needed.

Carries out any other duties that are reasonably requested.

This role may require occasional travel.

Knowledge/Skills Required:

Candidate must be a U.S. Person.

Experience in various operating systems: Microsoft Windows is required; Linux is preferred but not required.

Experience in working with multiple software providers, with installation and support for a variety and applications and operating systems.

Experience in containerization software such as Kubernetes & Docker is preferred but not required.

Positive, proactive, ownership attitude.

Excellent organizational skills, with a disciplined approach to implementation, support and documentation.

Solid IT change management experience including development & execution of test plans.

Strong attention to detail.

Problem Resolution Skills

Ability to work independently and with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment; A strong team player able to build relationships and work closely with peers and customers, vendors, etc. with a high degree of self-management and able to self-direct with minimal supervision.

Display willingness to make decisions; exhibit sound and accurate judgment, include appropriate people in decision-making process, make timely decisions.

Education and/or Experience:

Minimum of 3 years of ERP system admin experience, IFS Applications 9 or 10 a plus.

BS Degree in Computer Science, MIS or similar technical discipline preferred but not required.
