The National Security business area within the MSG Division, provides innovative customized products and services vital to national safety and security. They develop and implement technologies, products, and services that meet unique customer requirements and challenging operational constraints. Two of our primary focus areas are the development of multipurpose sensor systems and the development of GPS-independent position, navigation, and timing solutions. Pursuit of advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent

Hands-on experience with design, testing, and operation of precision sensors

Hands-on electrical system troubleshooting and fabrication

Experience with ANSYS analysis modules: Static Structural, Steady-State Thermal, Modal, and Response Spectrum

Experience in software development with MATLAB, C, or Labview.

Experience designing test fixtures for collecting sensor data.

Design experience with non-ferrous metals and plastics

Additive manufacturing and prototyping experience

Experience managing product structures and assembly configurations in a PDM tool.

Active Secret OR TS/SCI Clearance

Rising junior or senior pursuing Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.

Solid understanding of fundamental mechanical engineering principles, statics, dynamics, mechanics of materials, mechanical vibrations, heat transfer, materials selection, and physics

Understanding of component and electromechanical system design, modeling, and testing.

Hands-on experience with mechanical systems design, troubleshooting, fabrication, and assembly.

Understanding of parametric solid modeling programs, e.g. SolidWorks or equivalent.

Engineering design process experience

High work ethic, independent thinker and self-starter; decision making ability.

Strong technical verbal and written communication skills; excellent interpersonal skills.

Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in preparing, entering, and tracking information.

Time management and organizational skills.

Works under general supervision and technical guidance.
