Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Staff Accountant in Springfield, Oregon. This role operates within the industry of accounting and finance, where you'll be tasked with managing financial records, processing transactions, and maintaining the accuracy of financial data.Responsibilities Execute tasks related to account reconciliation to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting. Make use of QuickBooks to manage, record, and track financial data. Take part in the processing of financial transactions and ensure all entries are accurate. Maintain and update financial records in compliance with the company's procedures and policies. Respond to financial inquiries by gathering and interpreting data. Conduct regular reviews and audits of financial procedures and information to maintain accuracy. Ensure customer credit applications are processed accurately and efficiently. Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action based on account activity. Requirements Possess a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Proven experience as a Staff Accountant or in a similar role. Strong knowledge and experience with QuickBooks or similar software. Proficiency in account reconciliation and financial reporting. Excellent numerical and analytical skills. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all work. Demonstrated understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to resolve accounting discrepancies. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
