Hours: 6am-4:30pm Monday-ThursdayQPS Employment Group is hiring a Sheet Metal Assembler for a company in Springfield, MO. This is a contract to hire role.Sheet Metal Assembly Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Follow all safety rules and adhere to core value of business
- Maintain clean, orderly work areas and equipment
- Ensure proper and effective operation of equipment and tools
- Ensure all parts and surfaces are free from defects
- Monitor quality of own work and immediately report defective material, unusual conditions, and/or operating difficulties to team lead or supervisor
- Perform light maintenance on tools, equipment, machines, and other devices used in the normal course of the work performed
- Read work orders
- Utilize small tools such as grinders to remove scratches, excess weld material and burrs
- Assemble by hand, hand tools, portable power tools, or other equipment necessary to complete finished product
- Coordinate staging and sequencing of parts, production items, and product components
- Load/unload parts, items, and components using hand truck, pallet jacks, hoists, cranes, and other mechanical aidsSheet Metal Assembly Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid drivers license
- Prior experience in a manufacturing environment
- Assemblers in testing roles require 1 year of previous experience
- Mechanically inclined
- Lift 50lbs with assistance
- Sit, stand, walk, bend, grasp, push, pull, crawl, climb, twist, reach, and work at heights
- Perform repetitive motions
- Plant environment with potential exposure to bad weather, excessive heat/cold, and/or excessive noise
- Positive attitude
- Ability to communicate both verbally and written
