He/She will coordinate day-to-day collation of pertinent data into the mammography reporting system. He/she will work in conjunction with the Radiologist Medical Director and radiology management to monitor and track patient notification letters, key performance metrics, data submission to MQSA and other regulatory agencies.Incumbent will collect and track data for breast imaging across Baystate Health (all entities providing breast imaging services) and will collaborate with radiology management accordingly.Incumbent may also assist with patient call-backs and appointment scheduling, requiring outstanding communication skills and emotional maturity. He/she will perform other duties as assigned.Job Responsibilities:1) Performs all mammography tracking functions, - i.e., generating, tracking and mailing patient result letters, following up on bad addresses, entering, maintaining and developing statistical information and reports, retrieves and enters pathology reports/information on all abnormal mammography exams, assisting with non-located call-backs, retrieves certain mammography files, maintains all necessary records and data entry into the Mammography Tracking Systems2) Prints and coordinates delivery of all patient letters due in a timely fashion.3) Coordinates efforts with the Manager, BBWC / Director, BRI, other site managers, and Breast Imaging Medical Director regarding any physician letters and major patient notifications before sending them out4) Notifies patients and physicians of any recommendations that are over due with a certified letter other than screening exams5) Tracks all biopsy/interventional exams to include information regarding priority breast care for follow up surgeon appointments6) Coordinates with IT staff to update the data base when any exam name changes are done and the interface codes they are related7) Reports back to the lead technologists and Managers any history information needed on each study that may be missing8) Assist with preparation and delivery of necessary information to produce the BBWC regular quality reports and Breast Health Network Quarterly reports9) Prepares necessary data and reports to comply with regulatory agencies, inspections, and other internal and external assessments.Required Work Experience:1) 1-2 years; in professional settingPreferred Work Experience:1) 1-2 years' in a medical environment with at least basic knowledge of healthcare industrySkills and Competencies:1) Familiarity with basic medical terminology2) Attention to detail with with excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as a desire to provide a high level of customer service3) Must be able to work independently as well as be a contributing team member to a variety of interdisciplinary teams4) Self-motivated and Self-starter5) A good understanding of basic computer systemsYou Belong At BaystateAt Baystate Health we know that treating one another with dignity and equity is what elevates respect for our patients and staff.
