Quality Process Technician

The Quality Process Technician will be a part of the Manufacturing Process and Quality team, who support the production and testing team in ensuring that in-process material and finished product leaving the WireCo plant meets or exceeds internal and external quality standards. The Quality Process Technician must exhibit and proactively motivate others in the behaviors of the WireCo Business System (WBS):Teamwork - welcomes an environment of inclusiveness and healthy debate that reflects our team’s strengthAccountable – celebrates our successes, learn from failures, avoid excuses, and own the outcomes of our effortsSelf-Aware – demonstrates an understanding of our strengths and needs, considering how our actions impact othersNoble Intent – acts in the interests of others, approaching our work with integrity to ensure the best outcomeDetermined – takes initiative, share ideas and find solutions to win and achieve our goalsTransparent – promotes open and honest communication and constructive feedback for clarity and truthCurious – seeks knowledge and outside input to test our way of thinking, challenging the status quoThe Candidate will ensure that key direction and decisions are rooted in our most basic operational demand, that Data is the Source of Truth.  The candidate will promote the WireCo Business System throughout the Sedalia manufacturing facility, and support Engineering, Quality, and Compliance tasks associated with reaching our 5-Year Strategic Growth Plan.Essential FunctionsMaintain compliance of the Quality Management System which operates under ISO 9001 and API Q1Run the Business by continuously monitoring product quality and ensuring root cause corrective measures adequately address deficiencies within the production and quality systemsImprove the Business by ensuring new products and processes are deployed successfully, identify key technological improvements to improve first pass yield while reducing downtime, and accelerate process refinements that result in improved product performance in the fieldRegularly work with Plant Engineering, Maintenance, Corporate Engineering, Procurement, and other functional groups to address risks and opportunities for the WireCo BusinessDrive the use of WireCo’s OpEx Pillars to document Problem Solving and measure the effectiveness of solutionsDuties & ResponsibilitiesEffectively communicate with all levels of management and between departments to obtain scope of work for projectsWork with Quality Management to obtain labor and raw material savings justifications for projects.Generate specifications for any contact tooling needed for projects.Assist Operations, Engineering and Maintenance personnel in solving problems with productionStandardize tooling and work to reduce setup timesDevelop and write internal specifications, work instructions, supplier part specifications, and internal test methodsWill be trained as an internal auditor and perform quality auditsUse Data to drive decisions and project pathwaysDevelop Training Documents on Processes created
