Description A litigation paralegal job in St. Louis with a hybrid work environment would likely include the following responsibilities and qualifications:Job Title: Litigation ParalegalLocation: St. Louis, MO (Hybrid Work Environment)Job Description:As a Litigation Paralegal, you will assist attorneys in all phases of the litigation process. You will be working both remotely and on-site in a collaborative environment to provide legal and administrative support for active cases. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting.Key Responsibilities:

Case Management: Assist in managing cases from initiation through resolution, ensuring deadlines are met and all filings are completed on time.

Document Preparation: Draft, review, and revise pleadings, discovery documents, subpoenas, motions, and other legal documents under attorney supervision.

Legal Research: Conduct legal research using online databases (e.g., LexisNexis, Westlaw) to gather information relevant to cases.

E-filing: File legal documents electronically in both state and federal courts.

Discovery Assistance: Organize and manage discovery, including document production, review, and management of case-related data.

Client Interaction: Act as a liaison between clients, attorneys, and other parties involved in litigation, facilitating clear communication.

Trial Preparation: Assist in preparing for trials, including organizing exhibits, creating trial binders, and coordinating with witnesses.

Calendaring and Scheduling: Maintain calendars for attorneys, scheduling court hearings, depositions, and client meetings.

Administrative Support: Handle administrative tasks such as drafting correspondence, managing case files, and maintaining accurate records.

Work Environment:

Hybrid: Split between remote work and in-office requirements. Flexibility to work from home part of the week, with some mandatory in-office days for meetings, trial preparation, or other collaborative tasks.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys working on complex legal matters, and has the ability to balance both independent work and in-person collaboration.Requirements Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role Proficient in handling Medical Records Prior experience in Asbestos Litigation Demonstrated skills as a Legal Assistant Excellent communication and organizational skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a team Proficiency in computer software, including Microsoft Office Suite Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently Good problem-solving skills and ability to make sound decisions Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion Knowledge of legal terminology and principles Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and handle high-pressure situations Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.Qualifications:

Education: Associate's degree or higher, with a paralegal certificate preferred.

Experience: 3+ years of litigation paralegal experience, preferably in a law firm or corporate legal department.

Skills:

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and legal software (e.g., Clio, Relativity, or CaseMap).

Familiarity with e-discovery tools and practices.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines.

Remote Work: Must have the ability to work independently in a remote setting with strong time-management skills.

Court Filing Systems: Knowledge of state and federal court filing systems, including experience with e-filing.
