Title: Data Security Governance Sr. Advisor

Role Type: W2 Contract position

Job Description: POSITION SUMMARY The Data Security Governance team aims to enhance 's data security posture by utilizing a quantitative, risk-based approach to reviewing data usage and security. The Data Security Governance Sr. Advisor will collaborate with organization-wide teams to drive better data security practices and improve data compliance. The individual will be key in implementing company-wide automation initiatives to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of 's technology compliance function. The successful candidate will have expert-level python programming and automation skills, along with a strong development background. The selected candidate must have the ability to quickly learn existing process automation tools and software, and be able to quickly interpret business and functional requirements to enhance and/or build process automation tool suites. The individual will be supporting a non-technical team and must be able to work with minimal supervision on less defined tasks and problems. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS - Develop and automate a security-based suite of monitoring controls that perform a reconciliation of processes using python. - Meet with business partners to interpret and review automation requirements. - Deliver against program deadlines and stories - Collaborate with technical teams to interpret data - Assist internal IT and Business control owners to create, document, and verify data security requirements. - Execute key functions of the Data Security Governance Program - Special projects as assigned QUALIFICATIONS - 5+ years of experience with Python programming language - 1-3 years of experience with advanced data matching techniques - 6-8 years of development experience - Strong experience with other programming and database languages preferred (SQL, Java, etc.) - Bachelor's degree in related field with 5-7 years relevant experience. - Master's degree in related field with 3-5 years of relevant experience. - Demonstrated ability to implement automate processes that utilize flat files as a data source - Demonstrated ability to automate manual processes - Experience working with relational databases preferred - Proven ability to work with large data sets - Functional understanding and experience sourcing data from Active Directory, ServiceNow, and other APIs preferred - Functional understanding of data structures, data design, network segmentation, data storage, and system design - Self- starter, action oriented, results driven. - Experience working with cross-functional departments to research and resolve issues using innovative solutions. - Ability to handle sensitive or confidential information is critical. - Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with Management. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills along with presentation skills. - Ability to work a flexible schedule to accommodate project deadlines.
