Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
Ability to demonstrate and maintain a good safety record
Strong computer, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
Excellent organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple conflicting tasks and demands
Ability to work in a team environment and independently
Valid Drivers License and satisfactory driving record
Ability to spend time in office, and, in field environment with exposure to all field hazards and weather
Ability to occasionally lift materials up to 35 pounds
Ability to travel up to 20% and extended overnight hours will be required
Ability to pass an employment physical, a drug test and a background check
P.E. or ability to obtain P.E. desired
Experience in electric transmission or substation engineering and construction desired
Knowledge in Project Development and Project Management principles and fundamentals desired
DUTIES INCLUDE:
Develop preliminary engineering plans and designs to support NorthWestern Energy's electric transmission capacity objectives
Perform engineering and economic analysis of multiple transmission development projects
Compile and write technical reports and estimates and development of project budgets
Develop and coordinate projects up to 500kV
Perform computer related functions such as engineering analysis, design, drawings, spreadsheets and database compilations
Assist in customer and land owner field investigations and transmission siting activities
Adhere to company safety standards and the Code of Business Conduct & Ethics
Ensure all actions are consistent with NorthWestern Energy's values, mission, and strategic business objectives
Full-time position.$62,900 - $135,200 annually, depending on experience.
