BE PART OF THE CONNECTION The Mgr, IT – SSOC is responsible for overseeing a shift of Security Operations Analyst within Information Security’s 24/7 Fusion Center. This position will manage the conducting of hands-on technical detection, analysis, containment, eradication, and remediation in support of day-to-day operations. Provide guidance and mentorship to improve analyst skill sets and ensure delivery of high-quality analysis and work products. Create, manage, and measure team operational processes as well as establishing processes for the identification, escalation, resolution, and documentation of critical issues. Ideal candidates possess experience in cybersecurity operations environments, experience and knowledge of cloud environments and identify and access management experience. Oversee a department of the IT functional area.

Implement IT plan according to the IT and corporate strategy.

Manage the maintenance and enhancement of hardware and software systems that support field business applications and local area network/wide area networks (LAN/WAN) for employees.

Manage IT employees to ensure uninterrupted IT network support at maximum performance.

Ensure compliance with IT standards, policies and procedures.

Accountable for respective budgets

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO SPECTRUM

Required Qualifications

Experience:

IT work experience- 3+ years

Project management experience- 1+ years

Education:BA/BS in Information Technology, Computer Science, MIS or related field or equivalent work experience

Skills:

Basic computer skills, with proficiency with Word and Excel

Knowledge of computer and/or network systems, applications, procedures and techniques

Experience leading others and providing constructive feedback

Demonstrated interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively and collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders

Skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities

Demonstrated knowledge of information technologies and methodologies related to assigned IT segment or area

A team player with the ability to enable changes in the business processes and ability to work cooperatively with all groups is essential

Demonstrated ability to successfully distill complex technical information into clear, concise yet comprehensive communication material

Demonstrated ability to meet rigorous deadlines while managing multiple projects concurrently

Abilities:

Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.

Ability to learn and support new systems and applications

Ability to work with others to resolve problems, handle requests or situations

Ability to display a sense of urgency to resolve issues quickly and efficiently

Ability to multi-task and handle on a proactive basis, changing priorities in a fast-paced environment in order to maximize time-management and efficiencies

This position is eligible to work in a hybrid work model (combination of in-office and remote days)

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred Skills/Abilities and Knowledge

Successful candidates will have experience in one or more of the following areas:

Incident Handling: experience conducting or managing incident response for organizations, investigating targeted threats such as APT, organized crime, and hacktivists

Computer Forensic Analysis: a background using a variety of forensic analysis tools in incident response investigations to determine the extent and scope of compromise.

Systems Administration: an understanding of system internals is required to understand how to implement and execute countermeasures and remediation.

Network Forensic Analysis: knowledge of network protocols, network analysis tools, and the ability to perform analysis of associated network logs.

Malware analysis: ability to perform static and dynamic malware analysis to understand the nature of malware.

Incident Remediation: strong understanding of targeted attacks and able to create customized tactical and strategic remediation plans.

Network Operations and Architecture/Engineering: strong understanding of secure network architecture and strong background in performing network operations.

Programming/Scripting: experience coding in C, C#, VB, Python, Perl, Ruby on Rails, and .NET

Preferred Education

BA or BS / MA or MS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Math, Information Security, Information Assurance, Information Security Management, Intelligence Studies, Cybersecurity, Cybersecurity Policy, or a related field. Applicants without a degree but with relevant work experience and/or training will be considered.

Preferred Related Work Experience and Number of Years

Perform monitoring and analysis of security alerts as they are detected at the network and host levels. (3 to 5 years)

Exercise incident handling processes across Windows, Mac, and Linux platforms. (3 to 5 years)

Work with cross-functional teams to investigate and remediate threats. (3 to 5 years)

Perform basic malware analysis. (3 to 5 years)

Develop and improve processes for incident detection and the execution of countermeasures. (3 to 5 years)

Produce high-quality written and verbal communications, recommendations, and findings to management. (3 to 5 years)

Leading a 24x7 SOC. (1+ years)
