Job Description: We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Commercial Auto Risk Management Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for assessing and managing risks associated with our commercial auto insurance (Trucking) portfolio. Your expertise will help shape underwriting decisions, enhance loss control efforts, and ensure regulatory compliance, ultimately contributing to the overall success of our clients and company.
Key Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive risk assessments for commercial auto insurance policies, analyzing factors such as driver history, vehicle types and usage, geographic territory, maintenance practices, safety programs, loss history, telematics/ELD data, hiring and training procedures, and fleet management. Develop tailored loss control recommendations to reduce claim frequency and severity, improve safety outcomes, and support underwriting decisions. Analyze claims data to identify trends and recommend policy adjustments or risk mitigation strategies. Collaborate with internal teams and insureds to support implementation of risk improvement measures. Communicate findings and recommendations clearly to clients and internal stakeholders. Ensure compliance with relevant state and federal commercial auto regulations. Monitor and report on changes in the risk landscape, regulatory environment, and industry best practices.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma required
2 Years experience in claim reviews, underwriting, or claims analysis, preferably in the commercial auto insurance sector
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and identify trends.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Knowledge of state and federal regulations governing commercial auto insurance.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
