Maintenance Technician

May Technology & Mfg., Inc., est. 1964 and located in Kansas City, MO has immediate openings for long-term self-starting professional individuals. We manufacture high quality precision machined parts, assemblies and tooling for the aerospace, defense, automotive, construction and other industries using the latest in advanced computerized mfg. tools & technology. We seek individuals that are highly skilled, quality minded, dependable, positive and motivated to join our growing team. Must be able to pass a drug screen, work weekends (rare)/overtime as the position requires.

Summary

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for general maintenance and some repairs within the facility.

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned):

Education and/or Experience

· Mechanically inclined;

. Basic electrical helpful but not a must;

. Forklift experience helpful but not a must;

· Not afraid to get dirty;

· Able to manage a fluctuating workload and follow orders directed by Maintenance Manager;

· Follow company policies and procedures;

· 3+ years as a maintenance tech or similar;

· Strong communication and interpersonal skills;

· Maintain a professional courteous manner with all vendors, contractors, and fellow employees;

· Able to work with minimal supervision but follow instructions;

· Able to carry/lift objects weighing up to 50 lb., performing activities such as lifting overhead, twisting and bending while working in confined spaces;

. Not afraid of heights;

· Excellent attendance, good attitude and willing to learn;

· High school diploma or GED.
