Aerotek is hiring for Forklift Operators (First Shift)Job DescriptionWe are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator for our first shift. Your responsibilities include receiving, stocking, picking, packing, shipping, and inventory transfer. You will use inventory software or an RF scan gun and operate various types of PIT equipment, such as sit-down forklifts, order pickers (cherry pickers), reach trucks, stackers, and electric pallet jacks. Additionally, you will ensure aisles, equipment, staging areas, and workstations are free of debris and neat. This role requires physical activities including standing, walking, reaching, stooping, bending, crawling, and lifting materials up to 50 pounds.Hard Skills

Job TypeThis is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 4 Month(s).Work SiteThis is a fully on-site position in Southaven, Mississippi.Work EnvironmentManufacturing, non-climate controlled, loud, noisy, and dusty. The facility has large fans but no AC, and heaters with large dock doors that are sometimes open. The hours are 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, averaging 45-50 hours a week. Overtime may include coming in early, staying late, or working on Saturdays. PPE is required, including safety goggles, a hard hat, and gloves (provided by the client). Steel-toe shoes are also required. The dress code includes short or long sleeve shirts (no tank tops), pants or shorts (at least mid-thigh length), and jean material (no leggings). No large hoop or dangling earrings are allowed. Phones may be kept in pockets but cannot be used on the floor. No listening to music or using earphones is permitted.
