The Senior Accountant is responsible for financial statement preparation and consolidation, account analysis and reconciliations, cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. Supply Balance Sheet account reconciliations
Strong interest in continuously improving the automation of the accounting and reporting process
Complete monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables that includes journal entries, reconciliations, and reports in the compensation area in compliance with GAAP
Provide assistance in coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external
Participate in various department-wide initiatives
Delegate resources to Ad-hoc projects as necessary
Prepare monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting
Review financial information such as trends, performance metrics, benchmarks, etc. and present analysis in a clear manner
When working with business partners, ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures and controls. Additionally, be able to provide support on special requests Requirements - Attention to detail and demonstrated ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement
Ability to thrive in a dynamic, high pressure environment, to prioritize deals and adapt to quick changes while remaining diligent
3-5 years of overall general accounting experience, ideally with Big 4 experience
Experience in SOX control execution/documentation
Understanding of corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems required
Commitment and abilities to meet critical business deadlines
Able to manage time well
Seizes opportunities to produce results without direct supervision
Efficient in ERP systems
Foundational knowledge in Accounts Payable (AP)
Proficiency in general ledger
Journal entries experience desired
Journal Entry Preparation experience
The ideal candidate will be highly-skilled with exceptional analytical, quantitative and social skills
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
Prior work done in public accounting is desired
BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred
