Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Head Diesel Mechanic to lead our maintenance team. This individual will manage our shop operations, ensure the upkeep of company equipment, and perform a range of repairs and preventative maintenance on diesel engines and vehicles.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee shop operations and track the maintenance schedule for company equipment.
Conduct diagnostics, routine maintenance, and repairs on diesel engines and vehicle systems.
Identify and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues in diesel equipment.
Perform inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure equipment safety and reliability.
Repair or replace faulty components as needed, including hydraulic and electrical systems.
Test and calibrate systems to confirm proper functioning post-repair.
Maintain detailed records of all repairs, maintenance, and parts used.
Provide outstanding customer service, addressing any client inquiries or concerns.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic or in a similar role.
In-depth knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical systems.
Proficiency with diagnostic tools and equipment for accurate issue identification.
Strong problem-solving skills and high attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service.
Physical Requirements:
Must be capable of lifting heavy objects and performing physically demanding tasks.
Experience with tire services, soldering, and welding is a plus.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
